    Congratulations Simon & Angharad!

When I joined this forum almost a year ago, membership was just cresting the 3000 mark. I've found this place welcoming, helpful and informative, comforting, humourous, challenging and downright lovable. Judging from the numbers, I'd say lots of other people would agree. It's a wonderful thing you've got here, Simon, I'm glad to be part of it.

    To continuing success,

    Love, Scully

    Amen and Amen!!!

I've noticed a LOT of newbies since the SL March was announced and attended. Whether that drew more lurkers out to finally remark or whether these are people who just joined up and immediately began posting, I don't know. But it sure is good to see how many are being helped by finding a place to voice their hurts, concerns and fluff!

Hey Simon & Angharad: I second Skully's comments. With the 7,000 + members we are getting close to 500,000 comments ... the old H20 used to record the total number of "Views" which was good for knowing about how many lurkers there may be. I am guessing that the total views here on JWD exceed 5 million - maybe you could run a math routine and add all the views in the "View" column and see.

In the last few weeks , I have been waiting for the that number to hit 7000. It is wonderful to know there is a "great crowd" of ex witnesses out there. Hopefully there will be more , and we will continue to thrive and prove to all the JW's that apostates don't crawl in a hole and die, when they leave JW. Maybe many more out there that want to leave will have the courage to do so, knowing that, even thou painful at first, you do go on to have a happy life.

I too, want to thank MR. and MRS. Simon, for all the time and care they take in running this site. I hope you know how much it means to all of us , to be able to express ourselves with freedom . This is all so new to me and it has helped me more than any book, medications, or therepy ever could.

    Sincerely, Dede

Our circuit assemblies used to hold about 1000 people, I always picture 1000 people this way (strange I know).

So I'm imagining 7 assemblies worth of people members of this site.

Yes, I never thought it would grow this big - 7,000 registrations and half a million posts.

There have been a few difficult times but for the large part, most people are very well behaved and can see the 'bigger picture'. I do think sometimes that when it comes time to let it all go and hand things over to someone else, it it going to be very difficult to see it go. Obviously, I don't intend to do this forever and one day I think I'll close the book on my JW upbringing and walk away from all this online stuff with some great memories and good friendships but for the time being I still think it's doing some good for people (me included) so I'll keep at it.

BTW: You're way out Amazing ... the exact number of topic views is now over 10,215,000 !
