  This is awesome news!!! I am very happy for you. It all starts somewhere.

  After three years now I am having arguments with my husband because he keeps spending way too much money buying things to decorate the house at Christmas time. Last week he bought three huge reindeer and a santa on a sleigh. I'm having a baby and I said, "Honey, I dont' want to teach the baby that there's a Santa." He got all ticked off. Go figure!

  And it all started just like you and your wife.

  Just re-read it. Yup there's definately a crack in the wall. If there was'nt she couldn't even allow herself to think of the holidays ooooooooooooooooooooor another church. It's just a matter of time. Don't want her to get spooked by guilt though. Go slooooooooooooooooow.

  I am very happy to hear this.

  I believe that the Deity of Christ is a very important subject in the Bible.

  She is also welcome to fellowship with the Free Christians. Those associating are free to believe non-trinity or differently per Romans 14:6. Probably most are nontrinitarian and also believe God (Jehovah/Jah/Yah/Yahweh/Lord) will resurrect some to heaven but others to paradise earth, though free, as said, to differ. It's not a formal church organization with a charter and bunch of officials but a "fellowship," an informal group of friends united by friendship or love instead of forced sameness of beliefs.   It seem to me, that if you believe the trinity and she does not, it really doesn't matter. I doesn't affect your day to day life, and you can agree to disagree. Holidays, however, have a very big impact on your life, and I think this change in her will be of enormous value for you and your family.

  Funny, the dubs had me so sold on the idea that the Trinity is a false teaching.

  Now that I've left the org and done some investigating (and am a little more open-minded about these matters) I can see why some people insist that this teaching has a solid biblical basis.

  But really, I don't care, the trinity/non-trinity debate is one of the biggest most fruitless waste of words that ever was.

  The teaching that soon(tm) God is going to violently kill everyone except JW's, now that is a doctrine that has got to bother most dubs if they were to be honest about it. See if you can keep subtly keep bringing this teaching up in your conversations about religion.

  Ahhhh The Trinity is just a word to try to help people understand the nature of God. The true problem is the diety of Christ. My neighbor and I were talking, he's 1st church of the Nazarene and i asked him if they are Trinity based and he said. No, we believe that the Father is God the Son is God and The Holy Spirit is God, but we aren't trinity based. I told him that is a great definition of the trinity. I guess the point is that there are alot of non-trinitarian christian churches but most believe in the Diety of Christ.

  Anyway we are blocking up my Joy Joy thread with doctrine.
