Luxor is a neat hotel. I think Blue Man Group plays there, and they are a lot of fun to watch.

We got married in Vegas last year, ( no Elvis was not in attendance) and I HIGHLY recommend Top of The World Restaurant at the Statosphere if you are interested in a romantic dinner ( it is pricey, but if you like 5 star cuisine and an AWESOME view, it's the best.) It is a revolving restaurant, which means you get to see the entire city while you eat. Mandolay Bay is GORGEOUS, and you will be right next door to it. Mandalay has the BEST Sunday Brunch Buffet (pricey at $21, but worth it!) Gee, you might be getting the idea that I love food here, but the shows are great too.

Mystere, the Cirque du Soleil Show at Treasure Island was fantastic, tickets were around $70 I believe. Most of the shows are expensive, but the talent is amazing and it is well worth the expense to go to one if you can.

All the big hotels offer so much to see! There is no way to see them all in a few days. There is an awesome guide that you can pick up in the hotels that will tell you just about anything you could possibly want to know as far as where shows are, what else is going on in the city, and it breaks down restaurants by cuisine and has price codes on all of them.(They might have it already in the rooms)

I don't know about the best gambling, being that I tend to stick to nickel slots!

Have a great time! Vegas is awesome!

Since no one has brought up my fav's yet, I'll throw them in.

Show: Blue Man Group at the Luxor

Nightlife: The Bar at Times Square --- dueling piano bar at the New York New York Hotel.

Nightlife continued: Rum Jungle at the Mandalay Bay. Be careful though. It is a very ostentatious crowd with a strict dress code. It's pricey, but the club scene is all class.

Food: I have to agree woth Caligirl on Mandalay Bay's brunch. THE BEST brunch in Vegas for your money. If you like boiled shrimp, they have pounds of it on ice, along with crab legs too.

Food continued: One of my all-time personal fav's is Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse located in the Venetian Hotel. Again, pricey for most folks, but well worth it. Reservations made days in advance are recommended!

There is a lot more, but those above are our favorite places to hit when we go to Vegas.

Hit Treasure Island for their free outdoor Pirate Show! Two big ships are used for the show, fire, Pirates swinging from ropes, its tops and free!

Dont miss the Rio Buffet. It is about two city blocks long with every type of food you can think of! It is very visual too!

You have to go to Ceasers Palace Mall, it feels like you are really in Rome! Dont miss it! Unusual shops and romantic surroundings make this a must see!

Oh Jesika. you are going to have so much fun.

Vegas is one of the only places I know where you can just walk around, go from hotel to hotel, and have a great time. In Circus Circus there is an amusement park with great rides, guessing games, the works. Madam Tusseau, the wax museum, is at the Paris Hotel. You'll love that. You can take pictures with both movies stars and the politically infamous.

Don't neglect the buffets. The Luxor has a great one. All that food for one price!

Have a fabulous time and take lots of pictures.

    Some Thoughts on Vegas.

Wear comfortable shoes; the average person walks 5 + miles per day. The hotels are so huge that there is an illusion that they are close to you and you end up putting a lot of miles on your feet. Getting a rent a car is not a good solution though since the days of close to the casino parking lots are long gone. There are trams between some casinos.

    Cheap things:

Westward Ho- $1 big margarita & $1 big Hot dog. A real value

Casino Royale (across from Caesars Palace) Free Margarita. It cost me $40 though.

    Bellagio- water show.

    Mirage- Volcano

    Treasure Island- Pirate Show

Sahara Casino- Still had $1 table games in January as opposed to the $15 minimums found at the newer casinos on the strip.

    Nightlife

    Ra at the Luxor

Coyote Ugly at New York New York

    Not so cheap things

    Mandeley Bay buffet. Great food

Morton's Steak house- The best steak that I've ever had. If you win big.

    Have a great time!

I would suggest driving a car, and leaving it at every hotel with the valet service. You get right up to the front door, valet is only a couple of bucks, and you can go right in and enjoy the hotel.

So many of the hotels are way back of the street, and so large themselves, you will save tons of time doing this. Other suggestion is to pick a handful of hotels, and enjoy them for everything they have to offer. Otherwise you will spend so much time going from one to another, trying to see everything. Leave some for your next trip.
