What would you do if you woke up one morning and realized that everything you've been taught, everything you've known, everything you've thought was truth was not? As a matter of fact, everything was a lie. And this lie was taught to you by the people you love most in the world, your parents. This has been what has been revealed to me over the last few years of my life........ - PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF LAURIE CARAVAGGIO

It is tough. For us that grew up "in the truth", it was something else to learn all of this. I was exposed a little at a time, but still shocking, nontheless. Hard for friends to understand who have not experience this.

But as time went on, thank God I found out what I did. What a breath of fresh air. Now, we can all live freely. It does suck the baggage that some of us are stuck with, with ties to family, friends etc.

What if you were one of 'the rest of the world' and you woke up one morning to find angels killing your family because you didn't agree with their 'two witness' policy.

That's the sound and reasonable jw expectation for other people's future.

Well, not everything. They were right about some things. Like.....a......let's see......a......hang on, I'm thinking.......a.....well they were right about.....a..............

For a bit, you had me thinking even further. Like if i woke up one day and found that the earth, all the people and problems, the universe was all fake. We were all floating around, laughing about it all, like it was a big play where we were all playing little parts, just to see what would happen or what we could do, without knowing the big picture. Then we all tried to figure out a new, more interesting adventure.

After two or three paradigms get broken, it gets harder to trust new ones.

He is interesting. Illusions is a quick read. You would enjoy it. I've read your religious profile which almost matches mine and it is right up your alley. BTW, what part of Greenland are you in. I've been to Sondestrom, Thule, and a Danish weather station called Nord way up on the northern coast. Whoever named it Greenland must have been in real estate promotion.
