I started a thread Saturday morning about eyegirl and I getting ready to attend our brother's 30th bday party. What a blast we had! Lot of laughs (omg..... some that "maybe" we will tell you guys about someday!) and quite a bit of beer. It was just so much fun! We made sure to grab the camera BEFORE the drinking got to "that point and beyond"!

Only strange thing of the weekend was heading over to our grandma's for lunch on Sunday, driving up and seeing Mom and Dad's truck parked in the driveway (they are still active dubs). Kinda thru eye and I for a loop, but we worked thru a bunch of emotions very fast and handled the situation. There was no confrontation w/our parents, so all ended well.

Thanks! For those of you that don't know eyegirl's and my story........because of the dubs, her and I were seperated for 16 years......in fact, we have only been reunited a little over a year. This was the first birthday that all three of us siblings got to celebrate together......and, boy, did we celebrate!

    Hey Scootergirl,

Apparently your parents are about to "see the light," as it is highly unlikely they showed up on the same door step as the three of you by accident. How about telling the whole story. I've always had this crazy notion that reverse shunning eventually works to the advantagage of the one who was first shunned, at least in some cases.

Glad to see you enjoyed your little reunion and may you have many more. Bill

    Here's the WHOLE story, bill...........

Our parents came over on Sunday morning to work on Grandma's garage. Grandma didn't tell them that we were going to be there......I truely think it was a coincidence. I wonder what was going thru their minds as their three children were inside a house not 20 feet away from them? Our grandma told our parents when they got there that "all the kids were coming for lunch" and that she would love for them to come inside and join us. They left w/out saying a word. It stung a little because I realized that they didn't come in because of me........but that big hug from eyegirl with an "I love you" made it all better.

What a heartwarming picture, I am so glad you guys had so much fun. You truly look happy. Weird about the parents showing up, I still have trouble seeing how parents can so easily turn away from their kids, it baffles me. But like you said, knowing you have your bro and sis, by your side , it helps alot to know you are loved. And you know we are all rooting for you on this side.

I am waiting for the day to get to meet ya, Wild Turkey told me when things slow down I might can get a plane ticket to go and visit yall. Just don't have to see when it will be good for everyone. I would love to see XenaW and yall, and Tink and Cc in Tenn. It won't be long until I get to meet up with Cassi , she is the a few hours away, but still sick. I have my sister and we are getting closer and it helps fill in the gap that our parents left too.

Thanks for sharing the picture............ I loved it. Dede

((((((((((((((((((((((Scooter)))))))))))))))))))) My mom lives in Hancock. I'll share her with you. I explained everything about shunning to her and she said she would be a stand in mom for all those hurting because of shunning.

I'm so sorry for the pain you and your sister endure becasue of that stuoid policy.

    Shari
