I've always found it difficult to put into words my true feelings and after 240 posts-I find it no easier. I am not a good writer, nor will I ever be. I feel most at home with brush in hand-allowing it to do my talking for me. I've done much painting since I've discovered the truth about the truth. At this moment in time I have precious little to say-at best nothing original. I would like to share with you one of my favorite
    van Gogh gallery.

And when no hope was left inside on that Starry, Starry, night, you took your life as lovers often do*but I could have told you, Vincent
this world was never meant for one as beautiful as
    you.

I love Van Gogh. Of course, all I can afford are the cheap prints, but I have Starry Night, Irises, and Sunflowers.

Rhw-You are so cool. I have an excellent forgery of Starry Night, the rest are prints-we can dream, can't we?

7, have you ever checked out Charles Wysocki or Bonnie Marris?

I don't know if you like the American Folk style of painting or animals, but these two and several other artists whose names I can't recall right now have some wonderful works.

I've picked up some signed lithographs on eBay...now I'm saving up to get them framed LOL

I love Wysocki's cat prints. They are so whimsical (and I love animals, anyway). My favorite is "Frederick the Literate" with Frederick asleep on a bookshelf filled with classics such as "A Tale of Two Kitties".

To Rhw-Do you have Frederick? If you don't plan on making the purchase soon. Most I've seen available are running around $4K signed and mint condition. I have CW's Gay Head Light-love it. I am in love with Bonnie Marris' Wolfsong. If you've
never seen it, look it up and enjoy.

S2, Many good points made in your post. Yes, I may post some of my work here in the future-paintings and photographs. I hope it will encourage others to do the same.

Yes, 7, I have Frederick. I got it on eBay....mint, signed, framed and triple-matted. Really good deal....nowhere near $4k (thank gawd).

I also was able to pick up Remington, Elmer and Loretta, Max in the Adirondacks, and an artist proof of Maggie the Messmaker.

I have Bonnie Marris' "Old Grey's Barn and Bistro", but I was never able to get Wolfsong. I like it though.

Hi m2u, If you've found your way to this forum, I've made the van Gogh
site I mentioned into a workable click for you. The site includes many links-even to the letters you're currently reading. Enjoy.

    Thanks for the "click" -7-.

Here is a good one: http://www.artcyclopedia.com/history/abstract-expressionism.html...not the HOME page but a section I'm currently studying.

You don't come to JW Discussion nearly as much as you used to huh ?

    Thanks,

    Federico

Federico, Thank you too for the click. My business has taken up much of my time lately-explaining my absence. It should slow down for the remainder of the winter.
