A SENIOR member of the Jehovah's Witness congregation in Ipswich indecently assaulted two schoolgirls, a court heard. John Pickrell, 48, of Cedarcroft Road, Ipswich, has denied four offences of indecent assault on one of the girls and three offences in relation to the other.

Just to be normal with children is NOT wrong...what this man is accused of doing IS wrong.
The newspaper article says:
The prosecutor "claimed Pickrell had kissed the first girl on the lips and put his tongue in her mouth and had indecently assaulted her on other occations."
What this man is accused of doing crosses the line of decency and what is normal. Please don't equate kissing and hugging our children with a 'friend' who puts his tongue in a young girl's mouth and other things he had no business of doing to or with a child. That demeans the acts of natural family affection and minimizes an indecent act.
The courts will have to decide who to believe, not the elders.
