There is no such creature as a seagull.
Common gulls, herring gulls, lesser black backed gulls, greater black backed gulls, blackheaded gulls, but there ain't no seagulls.

What about trash gulls???? We see them hanging around the dump here all the time. They dont seem to be leaving for the SEA so I think they should be renamed Trashgulls.......

My friend John Curry named his daughter Juanita.
C151, we don't use the word trash over here. Or garbage much either. The man who collects our rubbish every week is known as the dustman though.

Your headline made me laugh. I heard a talk last year on a local needs about christian language. The same ole stuff, cussin is bad, but this brother went into some detail about the origins of a lot of the things people say. Gee, golly, crikey, blimey, geez and a bunch of others I can't remember. By the time the talk was over, it was clear that we could not use any euphamisms at all. None. Nada. I was surprised that he didn't condemn "goodbye"(God be with you). We went around for days saying "Crikey" just cause we thought is was funny.
