I can't begin to tell you how enjoyable it was writing it! -

I dreamed last night that a group of Apostates actually built an
anti-J W HitchBOT and placed it outside one of the District Conventions.
Now that is an exciting idea; especially if there was a hidden video recorder to permanently record the fun:) -

That thing reminds me of the cardboard-and tin-can robot I build in 1st Grade for arts and crafts.
Mine had more weapons, though.

The inventors have said they wanted to make this HitchBOT as 'friendly' and accessible as possible.
I think even the voice sounds like a Jim Henson character :)

But I like your idea of Chris Hitchens voice- the shock value, the dicotymy between the silly benign face and the intellectual *Mick McManus-ness of Hitchens voice!
*Mick McManus was a fearsome no holds barred British wrestler

When the idea hit me of using Hitch for Hitchens is exactly when I caught fire with the desire of writing the story. I had recently watched several videos on YouTube where Hitchens sliced, diced and body slammed his religious opponents in debate. His voice was fresh inside my head. -

I just came back to re-read my story after telling my son about the actual robot.
I'm wondering if the premise might not be good for a TV series.
Each week the robot is picked up by a different kind of person in a completely contrary walk of life.
The juxtaposition of the acerbic Hitchens and ordinary or bizarre people in the midst of everyday life might make for a riveting TV series.
What do YOU think?
