Many Many months ago (about two (2) years) I had a discussion with two (2) elders in the back room of our KH because I had discontinued reporting my field service time.
They tried to quote me a scripture out of one of the gospel accounts to prove that I should report my time. I reminded them that that scripture was not a precedent from Jesus Christ for reporting field service time. I told them to give me real biblical proof that my salvation depended on reporting my field service time. They then admitted that they could not.
I ended the discussion with "case closed" and that my field service time is between Jehovah and myself, not with my husband, them, or the WTS. They tried to get my husbands opinion on it and he would not give them any opinion.
We have since then not gone out in field service with the cong or reported any field service time. Needless to say, they leave us alone.
