Last night I was reading this interesting little book entitled "Fascinating Facts From the Bible." Therein I came across a couple of sections devoted to movie titles inspired by the Bible. You might enjoy this as well.

    Chariots of Fire--2 Kings 2:11

    Lilies of the Field--Matthew 6:28

    Through a Glass, Darkly--1 Cor. 13:12

The Way of All Flesh--Joshua 23:14

The next films are not in the book, but are certainly based from the Bible.

    The Ten Commandmants--Exodus 20

    The Robe--Matt. 27:35

    The Silver Chalice--Matt. 26:27

    Can anyone think of others.

Additionally, titles of books and novels have also come from the Scriptures.

    Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises--Ecclesiastes 1:5

    John Steinbeck's East of Eden--Genesis 4:16

    Robert A. Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land--Exodus 2:22

    LB,

You probably can find that title in Song of Songs 7:4, 9

    Nilfun,

Lots of references to water in the Bible but none on Waterworld. Nice try.

Niflun, I didn't see the movie, but I read reviews on it. Three Kings had to do with 4 Americans who stole some Kuwaiti gold from Iraqi soldiers at the end of the Gulf War. I don't know what the Biblical connection would be. Could it have something to do with the wise men or kings of Matt. 2? Of course, Matt. doesn't say there were actually only three magi; that number comes from the 3 types of gifts they presented Jesus. Anyway, none of the reviews said what the significance of the title Three Kings meant. What are your thoughts?
