Snow is so rare in Florida, when a couple of inches fall, it's considered a snowstorm. Schools close and everyone goes home. I think the last time Tallahassee had that amount was in the 1970s. Since then, once or twice a few flakes fell. Send some snow our way.

have you ever tried to catch a snowflake with your tongue?
i've discovered that you have to hold
your tongue
*just so*
and your breath
a little too
(else you'll melt the flake before it hits
the target)
and your pride
in check
to enjoy the sheer pleasure
of this game.

(beautiful pics scootergirl!!! today it snows where i live too.
on my way to work, i made the most of it by trying to catch snowflakes with my tongue,
watching peoples reactions to a grown woman walking around
with her tongue out LOL, and even more fun, seeing how many
people I could persuade to stick their tongues out to try it with me!!!)Edited by - SPAZnik on 21 October 2002 18:43:39

Beautiful!! In the Pacific Northwest, we usually have one good snowstorm every winter. Maybe 2. But not until at least December or January. Sometimes we will get a late February storm.........pretty rare.
I love snow if I don't have to go out on the roads. I worry about all my kids and grandkids until I know everyone is home safe.
But your photos are great. Definitely a baking cookies kind of a day!

Yes, dede.......I am shameless! LOL
It snowed here on and off all day long. Nice and wintery looking. Ended up baking spritz cookies (which my spritzer thingy ma giggy wasn't working right) and making two batches of pumpkin butter from the pumpkin that didn't get carved. Days like this I love just staying at home.
