I found this site a couple of years ago, actually, but being the good little dub girl, I logged off immediately. I believe I may have muttered something to myself along the lines of "too bad so many names have just been crossed off of Jehovah's scroll..."

Took me two years to find my way back. Here I am, and although I don't post much, I'm so glad for it!

Eyegirl informed of this place. While I knew she and I were done being dubs, I still thought apostates were "evil" and that she and I were not anywhere near apostate!! So when she said how fun these people were and how great the site was, my heart skipped a beat. She said the word APOSTATE! Nooooo!

But she kept talking, and told me about apostofests and how many Minnesota people there were, and I was intrigued. So I logged on. Just to see. But still scared, and quite sure I was NOT an apostate.

Within five minutes I was hooked. (Must be satanic influences at work here) And I just had to post! And here I am 800 and some posts later and not sorry for one minute. Well except when you nasty apostates fight over stupid things...hahaha!

It was nice to see people act real.

Iz it jes me, or iz dat an oxymoron?

I much prefers 2 C people BE real. (and itz , there's lotsa *real* goin' on 'round this joint)

    Scary? Nah.

    Never a dull moment.

Simon: No way I would give up "onacruse" now, especially after being so aptly described as a "soppy sod."

    Craig

edited to correct "sloppy sod" to "soppy sod" LOL

I da'd myself back in the mid eighties and it was only until July this year that I thought about typing in JW in Google, found this place and couldn't believe I'd spent the best part of 20 years trying to deal with my dub experience on my own. I have to say for the first three weeks of coming on this site I counld stop crying, seeing all these wonderful people here who had similar experiences. Since I gorged myself on the info available and eventually will stand up against my dub family,

I was thrilled to find this place where others share similar experiences and everyone is free to talk openly about it.It has been good therapy for me as I was devastated from my wild ride as a JW.
