: I doubt the Mensa Society of Geniuses refers to the OT as the Hebrew Bible as we former dubs do

Mensa does not (or did not, anyway) use tests like this to determine IQ. Mensa test questions are highly focused on logic and deductive reasoning. Tests like this aren't. Will Shortz came up with similar puzzles a dozen years ago when he was editor of Puzzle Magazine. He's now the editor of the NY Times crossword puzzles.

LOL @ Farkel's "average 'Merkin" -- die laughing along with the GB-SHTR. Good one!

13 (the most unlucky #) = UFS: United Farkel Society

    Crownboy,

    Great work!

Can't believe you got #31. I would have never gotten that one. Cool!

#19 looks good, but one thing I'm concerned with. Wouldn't it be "13 = U for S" if that's what it really is? I think they spell out the small words like "for", but so far yours looks like it makes the most sense so you might be right.

rem, you may be right about 19, but it was all I could come up with .

#31 I almost didn't get, I had to dig deep into the memory bank for that one, as it has been many years since I've seen a game. My dad is from the Caribbean, and still follows it though, but I'm definitely more versed in the strategy of a baseball game, for sure. (hey, the Giants are only one win away!)

Sheesh. I could only figure out 5. Pardon me while I go check my pulse and hold a mirror under my nose.

I got 24 as a Canadian... looked at the answers afterwards and excused myself on 3 or 4 that were too "British" for my liking. I missed a couple that should've been obvious (ie. 5 toes on a foot, 64 squares on a chess board).
