This week, I have passed the five years marking the removal of a malignant melanoma from my chest. Lesion 1.15 millimeters. Axiallia node dissections clear, wide local excisions clear. No mets. No recurrance. Five whole years and Ima still kickin'

Here's your link to a very helpful source of information http://mpip.org/

BTW - I ain't JUST SKIN CANCER, Buckos and Buckettes. It's serious shit. Get your funny-lookin' moles to a dermatologist. Pardon the shameless medical advice. But this stuff almost got me. Damn mole attacked me, treacherous ass. And it had been there all my life too. Don't put yourself through what I went through. Seriously, get your moles checked cause, like I said, It ain't just skin cancer. End of Sermon.

Glad you made it to your 5 year mark. That's great news.

Good advice! (pulling out magnifying glass) hehe Hey, get your funny looking skin thingys to a doctor if you have any question about it. Irregular borders, change in color, bleeding, etc.

I for one, am glad you made it Francois.

Would you like your laugh for the day? With my health insurance plan I can self refer, and I just have to call for authorization. (This is so I don't have to waste a visit to my Primary Care MD for nothing.)

Well, last week I called for two authorizations. The first one to my Podiatrist because I stubbed my toe and it's been bruised for two weeks. They gave me authorization for two visits.

Then I asked for auth to go back and see my Dermatologist (who I see once a year to do a full body inspection for moles etc.) They asked why, I said I have to get a mole rechecked, because of some changes.

    They authorized one visit.

LOL. My big toe gets more play time than a damn changing mole. Go figure.

    Very good news, Francois!

Malignant Melanoma. No cancer is to be messed with, but what you had is especially virulent. Glad you are still with us.

    Take Care,
