Welcome back. I've been wondering about you. So glad things are looking good for you. Not hearing from you for so long had me a little worried. Lots of people here were praying for you. Yes it takes about five weeks to really start to feel much better and get your energy back. Take it easy & take your pillow everywhere. Should be past the pillow though.
Welcome back (((((((((Mary)))))))))
Glad to hear all went well and you have a clean prospect. But I would get a second opinion too. Radiation may help in the reoccurance. That is certainly worth the risk.
Take it slow and easy. Enjoy your life, slow down and smell the roses
Hugs,

Welcome back Mary,
Thanks for letting us know everything is going well for you. Please do have the radiation, like pettygrudge said it will help prevent recurrence.
Take care of yourself, and get plenty of rest.
Shari
Glad you're back. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Like JeffT sez! What more can I say!
Hi Mary,
So glad you are back and feeling better these days.
My sister-in-law had both breasts removed due to cancer several months ago. She opted not to have radiation. I suppose everyone's case is different. If you have already gotten the second opinion, and both doctors agree, I'd tend to go with them. If they both have different opinions, I'd decide for myself.
Whatever you decide to do, I wish you well. Cancer is such a horrid sickness. There is lots of it in my own family history.
Take care.

I'm so happy to hear from you!! You have been in my prayers and I did feel comforted that you'd be ok! Yipeee! I thought of you often and I wanted to e-mail but it's blocked. Thanks for letting us know! It must be such a relief to have that part over with and to hear that gooood news!! I'm so thrilled for you!
I can only offer what I know about radiation as far as the brain (my dad) and for breast cancer. My dad had whole head brain radiation and stereotactic radiosurgery (pin-pointed) It causes some brain cells to die which don't regenerate in an older person. He had fatigue and hair loss but it all grew back. The other people who had radiation for breast cancer only complained of fatigue and I know that there is a chance of some rib damage?? You most likely would only have some fatigue, it is usually every day treatments for a few weeks. Ask your doctor about any side effects. I know that it sounds a bit scary but I would definatley find out about any risks. I'm sure that you'll be just fine. I think I'd do it if I were in your situation. It will give you even better odds against any chance of recurrance elsewhere.
I am just so happy your ok!! Take care and go easy. Take your vitamins......lol Love to you, Dj
i am so glad you are back....i have thought of you alot and wondering how it was going...time heals
so just hang in there.....
So glad to hear you are doing well after surgery. My motherinlaw had bladder cancer and was treated with some kind of chemicals, that were injected into her bladder for 9 weeks.
She finished her treatments and went in for a cancer check up and was told it was gone, but they will have to check every 3 months for now. She had no ill effects except for feeling tired.
Mary, take it easy and give your body the time it needs to heal and please know we all care. Keep us posted as to your progress......... hugssssssssss Dede
