I have discovered this site for downloading music, games, and software etc....maybe old news but I am having a ball making some great CD's.
You simply download their software and then download from other computers any thing you wish? When you search anything you wish comes up at different speeds, and you can obtain almost anything. So far I have gotten all that I have enquired about?

Yes, KaZaa has been around for awhile. Be careful with it- when I was using the full version I was getting viruses from their pop up ads.
Here is a link to a website that lists most or all of the file sharing programs available, how they work, the features and benefits of each and has links to all of them for downloading. What I liked about this site is that there are actual users of these downloading programs who have rated them.

I think you will find the experts say the viruses come in to another system from the downloaded files from another peer.
Pom, that may be where they are originating from but the expert who looked at the files that infected said that the pop-up ads were their method of transportation into my system. My virus scanner found them though so no harm was done and I deleted KaZaa and now use another program without pop-ups

Not relevant to this thread of course, just a fact.
It is monitored by the Police at the moment.
I think it all depends what you search for ...
One thing to be cautious of is the spyware that is embedded in it. Use something like AdAware to get rid of it.
It's great for music, video and software.
And be careful of that darn comet cat mouse pointer. It mysteriously comes on your screen, turns your arrow into a cat.
Kazaa is notoriously evil spyware. There are other options though - WinMX (which I have) or Kazaa Lite.
Ad-Aware is an amazing program, definitely keep it up to date though with Ref Update (also on the site)
