Prisca, I've wondered that myself. We have many, many Muslims in our area, with Somalians immigrating here in droves, and Pakistanis, East Indians, etc. I like the ones I've met, and have quite a few Muslim friends in Malaysia, but some of the ones they are allowing to immigrate are terrorists.
My Dad has a former patient who emails to me, occasionally. She works for the INS. This is one email:
"Just last week, a man from Yemen was arrested as being a mastermind behind
9/11 attack. He was granted asylum in my office last summer after telling
officer he was from Somalia. Then, the Egyptian who killed people at LAX
recently was denied asylum by one of my dear colleagues, who suspected the
man of terrorist ties, but no one would investigate. Nothing has changed
and officers not allowed to initiate investigation. The corruption is
unbelievable and no one seems to care. White House has not responded to my
letters and I have computer documents to substantiate the corruption.
Unbelievable. Still causes me nightmares bkz I had warned employer for 8
years that we MUST investigate those applicants who appear to be hiding
major facts and could be terrorists, so I just virtually collapsed after
9/11, wondering how many terrorists I myself might have granted. We're not
allowed to require identity documents, etc." -

I would love to see them have to register under the F.A.R.A. But there is that pesky 1st amendment thing. But, I am working on it They claim that they are seperate don't they? They claim the desire to create a Theocracy to replace our government don't they? They claim to be a (that) Theocracy don't they?

That comment from your friend is worrying. I'm not against all Muslims per se, but at the moment the Western world is battling a terrorist war which we are not winning. The bomb in Bali was just too close for comfort - more than 100 Australians were killed or missing (presumed dead) out of the 130 killed.
There are Muslims living in this country who do not like us and are prepared to do what they think is necessary to further their cause.
It's only a matter of time before another 9/11 or Bali bombing happens again.
