I heard it defined like this once ...

Ghost : energies of people who have not crossed to the other side.

Spirits : energies of people who have crossed, but come back to the physical realm to check on people from time to time.

Both have been known to interact with people. Answering questions, moving objects around, and even moving with the people to different parts of the country. I have also seen examples where they have been video tapes moving things, or leaving prints (foot and hand) on mirrors and in blankets. Tape recordings have even picked up voices that we could not hear, as well as noticable temp changes being felt and recorded.

I just had to add this ...

Did you know that paranormal activity decreases with the use of cell phone and cell phone towers. I heard this once and started laughing, and then I actually looked into it and found that people are actually seeing this happening and trying to figure out the connection. Like, do brain waves and the energies within us work off of something similar in nature.

Just something odd, normally when I mention this. Someone else remembers hearing about this as well.

But seriously, some things are not 'human' related. I had a buddy in the army who used to play with Oujia Boards and he told me some of the @#%% up things that would happen. Im sorry but some of that stuff is not Human. There is a lot out there that we dont understand!

Oujia Boards are not for me either. I think they are low level spirits messing with us. I have always viewed them as messy information. Although I do think Tarot cards are worthwhile and Pendulums. I don't live by them, but they do not bother me. In the world of "New Age" they are considered tools, not leaders or directors of our life.

Never do anything that does not feel right to you.

Following up on Kenpo's post re. Ghost and Spirits, ghost are ones who have had an abrupt or unnatural death of some kind and have not moved on, perhaps they are confused or feel they have some sort of work to yet finish. That might explain the little boy in Kenpo's experience.

Re. the point of paranormal activity decreasing with cell phone towers and such this might also explain the skeptic's response to why in more so called advanced society's you do not hear of paranormal as much.

Kenpodragon, that was truly a spooky story! You wrote it well too! You should be a writer! This time of year the t.v. is full of ghostly programs! I have actually hid under the covers close to hubby cause I'm a fraidy cat!

You know what, if my house had a spirit running around it playing ball and swinging on swings, I would be out of the house faster than you could say "JEHOVAH SAVE ME!"

Wow, seems like that would be big news. How come it's not?

Research a little, I have seen it on many programs. I don't think a month or week goes by that something isn't mentioned somewhere. Just simply look and watch for it.
