Dino actually told the judge that if he knew of a murder, that he would not report it to the police.

And that testimony came AFTER BCB (??) told of a JW woman coming to her door while out witnessing with her young son. BCB (?) mentioned to be careful of people at the hall, especially those who take an extreme interest in children. The JW woman knew BCB's name and all the details of her abuse.

BCB used this as an example of how 'confidentiality' is non-existent within the JW org.

Was Dino's angle that he would not report murder due to clergy privilege and confidentiality?

Joe Bello was asked if he understood what the Royal commission was about .Not really he said.

He was asked if he had researched the the role of the Commission .He had not.

He was asked if he had heard about the Commission and it`s objectives .he said no

Had he seen anything about the Royal Commissions role either on Radio or T.V. in the past few months.

His response ? No , I seldom watch T.V. and never see the news on T.V. or listen to the radio and I don`t read the newspapers .

Asked how long ago he was asked to appear at this inquiry ? About 4-6 weeks ago .

My words not his ,but that is the gist of it.

...and the judge raised his eyebrows at Bello's responses.

I don't think that the judge was too impressed that Bello hadn't prepared for his testimony. The Commission has prepared several guides for witnesses called to the hearing and Bello had made no effort to educate himself on the process.
