Actually, I think what affected me more sexually was being molested when I was a child. Definitely more impact that anything the WTS could cook up, unless it was being molested by an elder.

I was a virgin when I left, not anymore and I will leave it at that.

Since leaving or being in the process of leaving your religion, do you feel more uninhibited or sexually adventurous than before?

Sex, as sex? Probably about the same. I lost my virginity while still a JW with a wordly girl. Like others said, just stopped feeling guilty about it.

Now as far as non-sex sexuality, I'm a lot more open. Been to events such as a regional "Burning Man" for the past 3 years and other events where I experienced being nude in public, skinny-dipping or just lounging around camp. Not sure whether I would have done this as a JW - I didn't have the opportunity and didn't know about such events before.

We don't tend to discuss sexuality as much as we do other things on this board. The older we get, the more uninhibited we are, at least in my view. When someone is molested, this surely affects their view of sexuality. Sex has been such a big taboo as Witnesses, that I would think that the more "out" of the religion you are, the more sexual freedom there will be to enjoy.

I've always been uninhibited when it comes to sex. I love experimenting with my partner and finding new ways to please her.

When a JW and remarried, I found their beliefs very restrictive and unpleasurable, to an extent. After going inactive, even the soon to be exwife seemed to have dropped some of her inhibitions and our sex life got a lot better. Sadly, she decided to reactivate herself as I was DAing. While the sex didn't suffer much, the rest of the marriage did and now, we are divorcing.

I remain uninhibited sexually and although celibate for right now, will enjoy myself again sexually and strive to give her the pleasures she seeks, when I find that special woman. Marriage, though, will not be in the immediate plans.
