This is the history of bonfire night:

So now on November 5 - there are lots of bonfires sometimes with a guy on top and loads of fireworks.

We used to go to organised firework displays when I was little until some killjoy elder mentioned staying away from the wordly festivities it during a prayer the meeting before 5th Nov

When I was a kid ,in the "Truth". i did not mind missing Christmas, or birthdays - but I used to spend November 5th with my nose against the window, just watching the neighbours children having fun with the bonfires and fireworks. It just looked like a lot of fun and I could not see any wrong in it.

As I write this I can hear fireworks outside , and it still sounds like fun.

    Comf,

I was poised with my typing finger held in the prepared position, then I found this:

    Comf,

Some Guy (pun intended) decided to blow up the Houses of Parliament . He was thwarted. That's why we celebrate it!
