UN Vote Unanimous for USA-UK

Even Syria voted against Iraq by voting for the UN Resolution. Wow! And China did not abstain as they have in the past ... the full 15 member Sercurity Council gave the USA/UK what they want ... while there are no automatic military triggers, the resolution does allow for unilateral action by member states if Iraq continues "material breach" which is significant language in UN speak.

Disarming Iraq is essential ... I don't want to see any innocent civilians die ... yet, I hate the alternative even worse ... that is ... Iraq finally getting a nuke with a long range delivery system and then killing a half million European or American children by bombing one of our cities ... this is a tough situation ... no easy answers ... fraught with peril ... but, I am glad that Bush & Blair have taken the case to the UN and obtained unanimous support ... this ends all the rhetoric about Blair & Bush running amuck like renegades or any allegations they would act in less than honorable ways ...

It will be interesting to see how Iraq responds ... it will be interesting to see what the next year or two brings ... and to see how this will play out in the war on terror.

    Amazing,

Right on! Bush continues to frustrate his detractors. I was so pleased that the majority of American people saw through the efforts of democrats to malign his objectives.

I think his popularity will only go on to increase.

Have you noticed the extra grey hair the guy is wearing? Can't even imagine the stress of doing his job.

Conservative views are taking hold, just maybe, Congress can now get something done.

    Hi Amazing,

This is a very important day in history. There are turning points in time that will reflect what the future holds. I try to be optimistic about the future. But where Saddam is concerned, optimistic is being delusional. This guy needs to be stopped. And, now through this resolution, the world is showing itself to be aligned in its decision to stop a maniac from using weapons of mass destruction just because he can!

The late FDR a puppet of the international bankers once said, "In politics nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way".

David Rockefeller said, "We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order".

    Hi Amazing,

You and I are on the same page. I've been saying this for months and months. Something needs to be done about Iraq and it's time to get rid of Saddam Hussein now.

Have you read Let Freedom Ring, by Sean Hannity?

I truly believe that once we have a leadership change in Iraq, a good number of "tensions" in the area will dissipate......

Sorry, folks, I don't buy any of this. All this blather about evil Saddam started about the same time the search for Osama fizzled. Bush knows as long as he keeps people scared, they will rally around the flag. Saddam is just a much more convenient target than the Al-quaeda bunch.

HI No Apologies: I don't buy into the conspiracy theories that Bush is hunting for somthing to do because Osama issue fizzled. Iraq has been a serious concern for over 10 years ... they have a track record of invading their neighbors ... Bush made his case, and world leaders bought it ... time to let go, and trust the UN including Syria who sided against Saddam ... personally, I don't care as long as Saddam kepts his nukes in his own back yard.
