I just wanted to say something that is ticking me off a bit......

One of my best friends was raised a JW.......she wants nothing to do with it,but she is making her step daughter go to the meetings and assemblies(sp)....Her step daughter doesnot want to go.I'm sitting there listening to her forcing her daughter go to the meetings...I'm getting sick to my stomache. Why is she doing this to her daughter?she knows what it is like and what it did to her...it did nothing for her...accept get her married off at 16.ARRRGGGG!!!

All I said to them ..is "I" don't go beyond the bible!!!! and left.hummmppphhh

Sorrie, but I'm blowing off a bit off steam here. Her step daughter can still have b-days and holidays(which is good) but she has to go to the meetings! Her father thinks it is a cult and wants nothing to do with it.....OMG!!!

Am I taking this more than I should be?

If she were my best friend..i would get her alone and ask her "What are you thinking" !!
Why is she making the decision anyway....Dad needs to step in and say NO WAY!!

One of the reasons is to teach her daughter morals...I felt like saying...take the bible and read it to her.

The Bible is a pack of garbage and belongs in the sewer.

Should I continue? I have FACTS here.

Does the daughter have a tongue? Why doesn't she tell her father how she is being treated by her step-mother or is he a wimp?

This is off the topic, but is a response to Farkel's assault on the Bible.

The Bible is more than just a pack of garbage, and deserves better treatment than to be left in the sewer, as you so eloquently put it.

It is the cornerstone of Western literature, especially English. Shakespeare and other authors drew on Biblical themes, stories, and metaphors. It represents the influx of a rich Oriental culture into an awakening Occidental giant.

It is at the very least an articulation of a morality, and puts into words concepts that deserve the highest respect. One of these is the concept of the veneration of life. The Mosaic Law is filled with references to how precious innocent life is.

I'm not saying that it should be taken literally every time, or that it should be used as a basis for judging modern peoples. But it is a noble object that our culture continues to refer to. Not being familiar with it leaves whle generations in a cultural gap.

Farkelstein, thats beyond the most stupid thing i have read from you.

Besids the obvious, your lowdown empty comment regarding the holy bible would render all your bullshit essays meaningless wouldnt it idiot ??!!

Just when you think you have reached an all time low, you better it with such an insulting statement.

Some here respect the bible kok breath, and live by it to a varying degree.

It would be like me saying " hey douglass yer mom is a whore " , not i reakon your mom is a whore, but rather she IS and i have the proof !!

    Dropkick, your pathetic.

    Your post offends me deep.

How the fuk do you get through a day and upon introspection find yourself to be little more than a small, decayed remnent of what you could have been and not want to walk in front of a truck ??

It must be really crappy being you douglass, you will die a very bitter old prick !

You said:One of the reasons is to teach her daughter morals.
They are the most UNmoral people I have ever come across!!!
I never saw so much wife swaping and child molestation in all my life!!
If the spineless father thinks its a cult...then why is he making her go...People never cease to amaze me.
Just ignore Farkel; He thinks he knows it all....so pathetic..to have to insult someones beliefs to make yourself feel superior...what low self esteem he must have.

Maybe, in a sort of round about way, she is trying to get the step daughter to hate the Watchtower? But forcing her to go against her will will ot teach her any good morals, quite the opposite, in my estimation.

It is the parents responsibilty to teach morals, not a religions. If she truly wishes the girl to receive some Bible instruction and neither she nor her husband wish to do it themselves, maybe a Sunday School would do it better than forcing her to a Kingdom Hall against her will. I would suggest she check around to local churches and see if there is one that suits her. But, I don't believe forcing the girl to attend anything will accomplish more than bitter feelings between the two of them.
