Hello all. How did you enjoy your visit to Dallas? I enjoyed it most of the time except we got lost a LOT of the time. I sure wish I could have spent more time with the girls from the North, but it was me and my husband's fifth anniversary and I felt like i should stay with his old grumpy self. We booked a room at the Stoneleigh Hotel, which is a nice old old hotel in Dallas. They OVERBOOKED so they paid for us a room at the Bradford Suites.. but it wasn't the same.

I was real happy to see everyone. It ws so great to put faces to the names that evertone talks about. Iwish I could have spent a longer time with the girls from the Norht.. as it seemed that most of the fun ws going on down there at the other end of the table.

I had one of the members hug me and it was REALL SMELLY. I had that smell n me for like the rest of the trip. In fact, I vomited because i had that smell on me. Otherwise... I would have had a good time, except my So was not hving a good time and that ruined it.

Oh, no, CG! Big Tex and I showered before we came, I SWEAR!! I'm sorry you had some misadventures for your 5th anniversary, but I'm glad we got to meet you and your husband!

I was feeling bad about NOT huggin ya but I guess it worked to my advantage... I can feel safe that I'm NOT the stinky one... wwhhheewww... LOL I saw ya at the other end and wanted to go talk to ya but never got around to that side of the table... I'll have to remember be more social next time, I was a little timid since it was my first time to meet everyone.

I had an awesome time and can't wait for the next one.

Papusa? Cool. Okay then, what was that cactus looking thing? It was great, but I'm not sure what I ate that night.

My first Apostafest was great! Actually Cruzan and I were a little worried that we'd be given the cold shoulder like at the Hall, but we WEREN'T! As soon as Valis saw us we got a big hug from him and then from Jesika and Lin and said our howdys to everyone. Unfortunately I didn't have enough to drink to go dancing. I told everyone that my two rules about dancing are 1) I'm never seeing this people again; or 2) I won't remember what I did that evening. I should have hung out at the other end of the table where the big wine jug was; that's where all the dancers came from.

Well.. I won't tell who the smelly one was.. but it was really ripe. I do know that I had so much anticipation of coming to the event.. and he really messed it up for me. But I do want ya to know that we are having, in Texas, a Hasty Retreat Decompression Session in March, sponsored by Yours Truly. We have a few gals already signed up. This is a girls only event.. so, if you are anxious, depressed, and wanting to hang out with people and have a good time and just relax.. this is it. I have cleared it with The Crabby One <husband> and he'll be wandering off to some relatives down south. He won't be here with his crabby self. This will be purely Girls' Week... Weekend... out. Eyegirl has said she'll bring her traveling spa.. which does not include a steam room, masseuse, or weight benches.. but I was thinkin we could just pamper ourselves for the week. Mud facials... painting each other's toenails.. listening to romantic songs.. and eating lots of chocolate and doing what *we* wanna do ... We're gonna have fun. I have a pool, so those who like to swim, can. I also have three well trained Quarter Horses that love to go riding.. so if you wanna do that, you can. I have a nice screened in back porch for those late night serious chats, and two computers for those of you that can't resist getting on the Internet. I am only asking that we all share in the food and beverage costs, evenly. I also have a lake for those of you that like to go fishing... which I am guessing there isn't many. We have fishing poles for those that do. I have two guest rooms, plus one daybed in the studio, and a futon in the office for two. We can all stay here.. but maybe if it gets too crowded we can bunk in a tent or something. In Texas, in march, it's good weather. I also have Lifetime Television For Women.. so those who are TV addicts can get their fill. <smiles>
