Actually, this was not an uncommon thing. When I pioneered one year, I was asked to be on the actual program. I gave a demonstration of how to conduct a home bible study. During that time, because I was to be on the program, I was also invited to do special "secretarial" type work behind the scenes, some record keeping of some sort, which I did participate in, along with my pioneer partner.
Because we were unable to "see" and "listen" to the proceedings to actually get the full benefit of the assembly programs, it was suggested to us that we should attend the next one, so that we would not be "affected" by missing our full spiritual meal.
Gosh, and I really did that.
