Anyone out there from the Union Park Congregation in Orlando, FL between 1980 to say 1988? My family grew up in that hall and we moved in 1985. I have heard bits and pieces through the years on some of them, but would love to see who is out here.

    Hi LF,

I'm not from Orlando, but I grew up in Lakeland, and knew a few folks from that area. My oldest brother married a gal whose last name was Richter; I think they may have attended the Union Park congregation but I'm not sure. Also, I have family in that area - Pat and Rhonda Dragon. Don't know if those names ring any bells for you. It's possible that I may have known some of your family members but I wouldn't have any current knowledge of any JWs now.

I was there from 1980 to 2001. Kissimmee cong. Then Winter Garden, then finally Rosemont. I left the borg in the early 90s though. I am no longer in Florida. Richter family was well known, also the Wrights. I think David Corcum was in Union Park...originally from MA. Singletons, Flemings, Axel Petersen...Swinsons...

Hey Coffe_black! I currently live in MA. North Andover, know it? My family is originally from MA. We lived in Orlando, FL for 14 years though. Some of the names I was thinking of are Lallament (sp?), Belins, Madeya, Sanchez, Kelly, Cook,Tetu, Anderson to just name a few. I am 34 now, so some friends my age and a little older. My name was Currier then and I have 2 older sister and 2 younger brothers. Sound familiar?

    Hey Coffee,

I knew some Singletons and Flemings...did you know Dick Singleton and his wife? I can't remember her name and I also can't remember the first names of the Flemings, but they were pretty good friends of the Richters and we would all get together and go skiing on the lakes nearby. The other names mentioned rang faint bells, but that was so long ago and I'm old now! LOL

    Hi DocBob,

I love it in North Andover. It's a nice quiet town. Did you ever attend the Lawrence KH?

    Hey,

I grew up in the orlando area, I am 26 now.

Dana I knew Pat and Rhonda very well. My dad has done business with Pat's car lot, and I used to always hang out and even babysat their children. My Sister Married a Richter also. I was great friends with a Richter named Elena.

Would love to hear from you what a small world.

    Oh also,

I knew the Flemings well. Are you thinking of Laura and Jim Fleming? Kids are Amy and Wendy?

    I remember the Singleton's also.

My family are known as the Libby Twins.

    Heather,

OMG!! What a small world, indeed. Yes, I was thinking of Jim and Laura; they were really nice folks. And I think that I must have met you at some point in time. I spent a lot of time with Pat and Rhonda, and with the kids (you gotta admit, Pat and Rhonda had beautiful children!

So you hung out with Elena?? LOL I used to stay at their house frequently. My brother married, and later divorced, Renee. Tanya and I were pretty good friends and I had a crush on Mark for the longest time. Which Richter did you marry? At one time, I had a little "thing" going with Randy. His mom wanted us to hook up soooo bad LOL but it was not to be; I'm sure she'd be glad of that now, seeing as I'm a horrible apostate

I think I vaguely remember meeting your father but my memory plays tricks on me at times, so I can't say for sure. Anyway, it's really cool that you're here. Are you still in the Orlando area? Perhaps the next time we do an Orlando apostofest, we'll get to meet you

    Dana
