  I am sorry about the confusion.

  I did not check and verify the information before I posted it.

  I thought that the info I posted was the 1977 Article, but then I realized it wasn't.

  The info I posted above was NOT the actual News Story, it was the introduction to the News Story, and I think the Introduction was written by http://watchtower.observer.org

  There really was a 1977 News Article about this Pedophile.

  The Scan on Watchtower Observer is a bit hard to read.

  I'm going to try and find more info on that 1977 Article.

  I normally check out everything I post very carefully, but with this Thread, I let that slip by without realizing that I was not in fact posting the actual 1977 Article.

  Thanks, UnDisfellowshipped, for adding clarifying information to the posting, including the link to the page on the Watchtower Observer site with the article.

  It is unfortunate that the scan is of such poor quality and is cropped so tightly. I still think you may find that this article was published in 1997, not 1977. Since the part of the paper with the date on it was not included in the scan, I can't say for certain, but the article does say here wassentenced to eight years in prison "yesterday."

  I don't know where you are; if you are in the UK maybe you can find microfilm containing the article at a library - here in the US there's lots of stuff available on microfilm. If you are not in the UK, or the microfilm angle doesn't work out, perhaps the publishers of the paper could provide you with good scans of the article if they have it in their archieves - I checked their website, and there is NO email address listed for the Western Daily Press, but it lists their address as Western Daily Press, Temple Way, Bristol BS99 7HD. Perhaps someone is near there and could look into this?.

  Even if this article turns out to be only five years old I think it is valuable evidence about the way the Watchtower Society has ALWAYS handled such situations - NEVER with righteous concern for protecting the innocent victims, ALWAYS with selfish concern that their whitewashed "reputation" should remain spotless. They have indeed earned their reputation, and it isn't what they thought it would be. The Luminol of TRUTH has been sprayed upon the WTS, and all the concealled bloodstains glow like streetlamps.
