After several tearful phone calls from New York City and me sticking to my guns I think Liza is starting to get the idea that this is long term, and that she has to address her problems before we can address OUR problems.
Get's tough, especially the no sex part, and she plays that card every phone call, promising all kinds of kinky nasty things to me when she comes home. COLD SHOWERS and hand exercises.

Have you considered "dating" her? I mean, let her live away and deal with her problems but once in a while (when you're really horny) take her out to dinner and a motel room.
It could get hard on both of you to be "faithful" if you don't have a sexual outlet. I know that with my drug addicted/alcoholic first hubby I tried sooo hard to stay separated until he resolved his problems. It would never last because I got too horny. Now looking back I think I could have just had sex when I felt like it and not let him move back in. Eventually in our case it still would have ended in divorce, but at least I wouldn't have suffered.

You're doing the right thing. Get her to get herself fixed first. THEN you've got a situation where two complete independant adults can come together like adults and do a deal.
