we interrupt this *stunned silence* to toss u the following bone:
Hm.
I for one *woulda thunk* that the peoplez most on a soapbox
about questioning everything
(those with an otherwise stellar reputation for sound insights)
wouldn'ta stopped at version 1.5 before forging bravely onward.
(I guess it has to have a search engine & typed face
or 'e won't question a tail?)
People believe what people want to believe. Some hope in a tail, bcuz it seemingly satiates their dreams. (ie. Paradise, etc)
Some buy into a tail, bcuz it seemingly confirms their fears. (ie. Armageddon, etc)
Add a dash of perception and a bunch of politics and...
People do what people want.
('cept maybe the dubs, they just play right into the manipulations of others...
old habitz die hard huh)
People have their reasons. If it really mattered, perhaps they'd ask more questions, investigate more thoroughly.
Some perpetuate a myth bcuz they really believe it.
Others bcuz they are susceptible to manipulation.
I guess it all boils down to
things are not what they appear to be,
no matter how 'eleet' the "source".
'Tsaaaal a good reminder that we basically let people manipulate us when we don't question
quite enuf.
No worries ThiChi,
there ain't one person on this forum
that hasn't swallowed sumfin
hook, line & suck errrrrr, sinker b4
The thing you missed was
fairly inconsequential,
and the lessons that came of it
were ultimately worthwhile.
