Iron Eagle, maybe you don't want your country getting caught up in a war with these Islamic terrorists, but let me ask you this: what would you have done, if on September 11th, planes had of crashed into your Parliment Building, or Buckingham Palace, killing thousands? Would you not accept America as a friend and Ally in your war on terrorism?
I'm a Canadian, and the same head-in-the-sand attitude is up here: we don't want to get involved in a war with Iraq. But I'll bet if terrorists decided to strike the financial district of downtown Toronto, or hit a couple of our nuclear power plants, Canadians would think differently.
And don't fool yourself: these terrorists aren't just after Americans........they'll kill ANYONE who can't repeat "Allah be praised" a thousand times a day. Blair is smart to support Bush on this. You think Saddam Hussein didn't know in advance about September 11th? Think again. That guy's got lots of weapons ready to use again, and he'll do it.
Um... what about the Al-Quaida that tried to gas your subways in London? Were they just on a pleasure tour ? Look terrorist don't care about you or I. They need to be stopped period before anyone else loses a loved one to thier madness. Regardless of thier cause or background. To rule by terror is not something that will last. Debating wiether or not England or America should be involved is a moot point. They don't care.. they want control and will do anything to get it. They are not just going to stop because you say, "Oh we aren't involved with America anymore." To them, you are still the infidel, regardless of association. Hum, sound like the IRA too... gee.
My husband's roomates in Military School were part of the Deposed Shaw's Family. The United States' State department hid them as part of a diplomatic agreement. To my husband it was a crash course on how they think and will in act. They are taught from diapers to hate. An other of his, school buddies (same Military School) is a FBI Agent in a Anti-Terrorist Division. Gee, I wonder why he decided to go into that field ? Um interaction perhaps ?
The point is, they have always hated us. We will always be the infidel until things are made to change. That will take work from everyone. Not just one faction.
