    Hi Brian,

My favorite Witness teaching might be that the seven trumpets of Revelation were the seven Jehovah's Witness District assemblies from 1922 to 1928, starting with Cedar Point, Ohio and ending with Detroit, Michigan.

My second favorite is the one that says Jesus inspected all the religions of the world and their teachings and chose the International Bible Students Association in 1919 because they were teaching the truth. Of course virtually everything they taught then, except the dis-beliefs, has since been rejected and a Witness today who teaches the things that Jesus approved in 1919 would be disfellowshipped for apostasy. Hahahaha

Studying the Witnesses is a bit like trying to make sense out of a maze, there is only one right path and that leads you out.

Gary, the trumpet one always bothered me. I thought it was just JW revisionist history. The WTS teaches that prophecy is not best understood before or while it is happening but after the fact. Duh! 1919 is the date used in the publications extensively now more than 1914. I always wondered how God could find them acceptable when they had compromised their neutrality, stopped preaching and printing the WT, still used the cross in worship, celebrated Christmas, etc. I always try to work it into my answer, "Yes, Jehovah God accepted their worship although it was not until 1926 they stopped celebrating Christmas and not until 1928 they stopped the use of the cross."

Thank you for that perspective. I will re-read that verse using your reasoning. Thanks!

I still hear the comments from family members, when someone they like dies, eg Princess Diana, John Lennon etc

"At least now they in line for a ressurrection. They might have never got the truth otherwise"

Man, JWs say that stuff a LOT! I've been guilty of saying it myself. As my eyes have been opened, I now see how foolish and ignorant such thinking is.

armageddon is precipitated by the attack of a huge, monolithic world power structure on "god's people", whoever they turn out to be.

So by the end, there will be two clearly distinguished camps, God's Kingdom and Gog's Kingdom.

It'll be a clear choice, though not necessaraly an easy one.
