James Coluburn died of a heart attack on Monday at the age of 74. I wasn't a big fan of his but I'm sure he was a good actor. I know it wasn't one of his greatest roles but I did like his character in the movie 'Snow Dogs'.

Merlin Santana. Best known as 'Romeo' on the Steve Harvey Show. He was shot to death while sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car on November 16, 2002 in Los Angeles. Authorities have a 15-year-old girl in custody. The Los Angeles Times reports authorities believe the teenage girl was the driver of the car used in the shooting -- and not the one who pulled the trigger. Santana and the kid who played 'Bullethead' were funny on the show. They would crack me up.

Queen Latifah was driving in North Hollywood when she was stopped about 3:15 a.m. for making an unsafe lane change. They found that she was under the influence. It was a routine arrest. The 32-year-old artist, who was driving a 2003 Cadillac Escalade, presented a valid New Jersey driver's license bearing her given name, Dana Owens, and then failed a sobriety test. She was booked and released on $2,500 bail, authorities said. A Dec. 11 court appearance was scheduled.

    freddi...

You'd probably go out, get in your car and drive to Disneyland, asking, "Where's my mommy? Where's my mommy?"

    Did I guess right?

    Hey, freddi.

Write back when you find your mommy.

I always enjoyed watching James Coburn in those western dramas from the 50's and 60's. He played a really great bad guy. He will be missed.

    funchback,

what a joke you are. i used be a member of the nation of islam and i was involved in many of the protests of the 60's, so i don't know where you think that you are coming from. this is why our black youth are being locked up because all they are being mentally filled with is stupidity. the news is not filled with anything upliftng for the youth of today. ask them who was medgar evers was and they would not even know. such a pity. we have too many things to occupy our minds with. such as globalization and why the black man is being shot and locked up.

    peace,

freddi, get over yourself. You must be in your 50's at least, especially if you were an activist on the sixties, and should know better than to make inane posts such as your last. If you plan on slamming funchback for a bit o'fluff then I would guess you need to hit all the other threads on this board you don't find relevant.

we have too many things to occupy our minds with. such as globalization and why the black man is being shot and locked up.

Yeah there's a couple of topics that are uplifting to the youth of today...

this is why our black youth are being locked up because all they are being mentally filled with is stupidity

Ha! Young people of all races have been locked up since the beginning of time because they are young and stupid to start off with. Your argument is an old one where it blames everything on the external and never expects the internal (the person) to be held accountable and thoroughly responsible for one's actions. Don't blame pop culture for the failure of parents and the community in regards the bahavior of children, because those parents and community had possesion of those kids long before any rap artist or pop icon ever did. You claim most young folk don't know who Medgar Evars is...well, once again where is the parental care or community acknowledgement about how importnat a man he was, most importantly so for the citizens of Mississippi? A question that gets eclipsed by the moaning and pissing about what music kids listen to or the movies they watch or the clothes they wear. Those things only change in appearance and sound over time , not the reality of being young and enjoying things regardless of whether or not the geriatrics care for any of it at all.

    Sincerely,

    District Overbeer

    Amen Valis......

I have a cousin shot, and two in jail. Can name off 6 people I grew up with who are dead or locked up. Sorry to break it to you, but dim is white folk kids.

By the way, I've met Merlin several times a few years back when he was doing a show with Cindy Williams from Laverne and Shirley and the aunt from Family Matters. The name of the show escapes me at the moment. But when he was younger he was a real cool kat. Though I'm not sure what he became when he grew up.
