The last circuit assembly I attended(October 2001) there were about 900 in attendance and only 8 baptisms.I think most of them were JW children.
None baptized at circuit assembly in Greeley,CO.

That happened at the latest English Speaking Circuit Assembly in Fukuoka Japan in April of this year. There were about 350+ in attendance and none were "qualified" at that point to get baptized. They did, however, continue with the baptisim talk as outlined by the program.
This was the first time for me to experience such a "thousand becoming a little one" . When the speaker asked "if there was anyone to be baptized" (which obviously there wasn't since nobody was sitting in the assigned baptisimal candidates seats). He just concluded by saying. "No?". Then just walked off the stage. He must of felt like a fool giving that talk with nobody in sight in front of him as it usually is to readily take in the information. I guess that part of the program is just part of the "Society's System of Things".

Jurs, my wife and I are still attending meetings and associating for now so I can't really give details, sorry. I am sure we know alot of the same people though Steve and Pam Rowen, the Cole family, etc. We will try the fade away when we move. We miss just enough meetings to keep the "healthier animals" in the herd unsure of what to do with us "weaker animals"(Stop and help and risk being devoured by the "lion seeking to devour someone" or follow their natural instinct which is to run). I got the idea about a year ago to drift into this "limbo" that we had observed and wondered at over the years thinking to ourselves "why do we work so hard to bring people into the fold and then let them drift away so easily"? The key is to not miss too many meetings or you will get attention from the elders. We have some family and good friends who we would hate to lose if we DA'd or were DF'd.
Blondie,
The speaker(bernard clay, foothills) started off the talk aknowledging that there were no candidates for baptism. He then adapted it into are we living up to our own baptisms. It was the same outline just with key words changed so instead of the questions being asked it was presented as "do you remember the questions that were asked of you?" then the questions. It did get a little strange a couple of times but I was in too much shock to remember details, I was to busy counting the hours spent with no results.
At the last District assembly I added the number baptized from all the assemblies that year(in between gasps of breath due to smoke from the forest fires that literally filled the assembly with thick smoke) took the attendance/hours spent based on averages and it worked out to 148,000 hours per baptized person( I did take out the real young ones who were obviously raised around the org.) from door to door/informal. If you could separate informal witnessing from formal then the numbers would be even uglier. It begs the question "would Jesus have done this in the face of such poor results?" I think most witnesses haven't even opened their eyes to the possibility that the door to door work isn't working. Too much propaganda highlighting the opposite.

God I hated going to the CA's up in Greeley. Probably the worst smelling town in CO. Everyone I know prefered going to the School of Mi(m)nes in Golden.
Does not suprise me that they had zero get baptized. I believe the last CA I went to in CO we had maybe 2 or 3 get baptized out of several hundred. It is comforting to see the Love of the Greater Number Cooling Off. Hey, the WTS has to get one self proclaimed prophecy correct every now and then, right?
Colorado is a very high tech town. Most witnesses I know there have internet access, or are even employed by high tech companies. Hell, I would still be there if it wasn't for the big downturn in telecommunications. Gotta go where the work is. But I am glad to be out of there now simply because of the massive influx of people moving into the state. Can you say population explosion? One word --- I25.

You can imagine all the hours of work going door to door, and NO ONE baptized
Been this way forever. With the amount of time that is spent in their efforts.......it is surprising how few respond. The Mormons do a better job.....and they are REALLY full of shit.

Lot still preached and so did Noah. Just a thought.

I imagine that there will be much talk about getting more ready for baptism so that doesn't happen again.

Is the bOrg so lacking in common sense that they went ahead with the baptismal talk even though no one was getting baptized?
This makes it very clear that the assembly programs are very "rubber stamp" in nature. They could at least have another backup talk for when there are no candidates... oh wait, then they would have to print some assembly programs without the baptismal talk listed, and that would cost extra money.
