Until this little guy is back in my house! Woo Hoo!

(He was supposed to be helping grandma pick tomatoes and put them in the bucket--can you see the bite marks in the one he is "helping" with?)

My sister, her hubby, my nephew (the little stud muffin pictured above), and my sister's step-son will be home to celebrate Thanksgiving! I can't wait. We are cooking a turkey for our Dub parents--good times, they are looking forward to it even, if you can believe that!

Woo hoo! Family, food and football--could there be a better day? I think not!

So what is everyone else doing for turkey day?

After I cook all that food and pig out on it, I will be relaxing the rest of that day and the next. The rest will be a welcome one because it seems that every client I have for this week wants their house cleaned before the big day. I have 12 houses to clean in just three days. Let's hope I will not be to tired to cook. LOL

He is such a cutey. I would love to have that tomato he is holding. Slice it, put it between 2 slices of bread with a little salt and pepper. Yum! Yum!

I'm hosting a family reunion at my house. When my grandparents were alive, we all used to gather at their house, but we haven't done it since they died. Now, with this spacious house and yard, I'm reviving the tradition and hoping it'll catch on again. I have a confirmation of attendance from:

My brother, his wife, and their son who still lives at home
Their daughter Tonya, her husband, and their son
    Their daughter Tina and boyfriend
    Their daughter Krista
    Their other son
My sister Janis, her husband, and their two kids who still live at home
    Their daughter
My other sister and her son who lives at home
    My mom
    Possibly, my older son

Janis and company are coming up early to help me with preparations (read: she's gonna take over and I will just respond to orders as given). This gathering is the reason why I built the eight-seater picnic table I posted about recently. Seating will be at a premium.

    Joanna,

What an adorable nephew you have (and I know what I'm talking about coz I'm an expert on goodlookin' kids ). I hope you enjoy the heck out of Turkeyday with your family.

I'm going to the beach for most of the week so I won't be around much...takin' the opportunity here to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

We gonna have a Cubana Thanksgiving: roast pig with mojo, congree (black beans cooked in rice), cuban pork tamales, big ol' avacado with extra virgin olive oil (made from olives that haven't even thought about it yet - makes 'em extra virgin) and tomatoes, yucca with mounds of fried garlic cloves, raw veggies of all kinds, gallons of mulled wine, Cuban cigars.

And after it's all over, we all face towards Cuba and give the finger to Castro !!!

OMG, Joanna, what a cutie pie! Love that blonde hair!

Our family will be going up north this year for Thanksgiving with relatives. The whole dinner will be catered. Can't wait!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

    Mrs. Shakita
