LOL, that sounds like a great idea, Mrs Shakita.
But I'm of the class who loves to fuss over my family and make a big meal for them class.
I am looking forward to some future year when I'll join your class.

I don't have to cook either. My husband is the chef in our family. I'm in charge of setting the table and the ambiance.

That sounds fabulous Mrs Shakita! I never have to cook more than pies for Thanksgiving. That is the holiday that falls on Mulan and my mother-in-law. This year we are heading to the ranch to have Thanksgiving with my in-laws. The kids are quite excited to visit with the other grandma. She lives two hours away and they don't get to see her every couple days like Mulan.
Christmas however, falls on my shoulders!

Hi Joy:
I have always been lazy in the cooking department. I did go through a period when I tried baking breads from scratch, that was kind of fun. But, after 25 years of cooking for a large family (including daycare kids), I think I deserve for someone to fuss over for me for a change!

My husband doesn't really cook. Well, he does, if you count running out for pizza! My father also use to be the chef in our family. God, he really knew how to cook!
Princess:
I will be doing Christmas Dinner this year at my house, too. It will be the first! Pray for me! Got a free turkey at the supermarket, and since I am not using it for Thanksgiving, I will cook it up for Christmas.

Shakita:
This is the first year I'm so looking forward to doing all the cooking. I think the Holidays had me wrapped up in so much fear & my expectations were of a perfect little family that never will be (especially since I'm shunned). Just me and hubby & he loves to eat, so it's his fav holiday. Feast & Football. The weather outside will be frightful...... mabie I can have a fire. I plan to get out my christmas decorations & start on that. Very very festive.
It's just so nice to have four long days off in a row - we're gonna have a ball!!

There will be Apostates and JWs sitting down for a Thanksgiving feast at my house..eheh...
actually elsewhere is coming for dinner and I've invited joeshmoe as well. I don't think either of them have families to be with and I would be up for a good public reproof if I left them without turkey and so forth. Actually my parents are coming and haven't a clue that members of the APostacy will be dining as well. Its bound to be fun indeed.
Sincerely,
District Overbeer
We are having 16 for dinner this year, and since 3 of our kids and their families are going to the in-law's, I had room for guests, so invited Makena and Sabine and their son this year. Usually I have about 28 people, so 16 sounds small. Also having Inky (posts here), our niece, my brother, one of his daughters and her husband (so that's two nieces, one from each of us), Mom and Dad, our second son, his wife, and three kids. Have to invite my late cousin, Sharon's son who still lives in Seattle too, if I can find him.
Dave and I drink Champagne Wednesday evening, as we make the dressing, and get all the preparations going. We both love to cook, and he is getting better and better at it.
