well put and it is for this reason i often tell former jw not to get bent out of shape when a loyal jw goes off- when we respond in kind then that comfirms what wt told them that apostates are evil and rude and mean

actually i think if we applied the training of wt in reverse ones would see better result

wt trained us never to go off on a householder but to be kind- if they went off - after they finish we were told to say something like

"well i can understand that many folks feel that way, but would you consider so and so"

but if you go off on a loyal jw it will match the PROGRAM FILE A that wt loaded about apostates

so i tell folks sit back and enjoy the show

i have no desire to argue with you - if you feel that i'm a bigot then that is your choice i spent over 30yrs arguing over whether jesus died on a LIGHTPOLE OR TELEPHONE pole and i ain't about to argue on whether you consider me a bigot or not

I appreciate your reminder to me to not get upset at posters like StiLL. I admit he brought out some anger in me that was lying quiet for awhile. I'm new to the board here and going through different stages of emotions. The anger is one I don't like feeling and should never a bothered to post to him.

I told him I too had been snug and smug in the knowledge that we were "the ONLY true religion" and I'm not proud of feeling like that either, but that knowledge spurred me on to try and help others, but I never would have stooped to kicking people around that are supposed to be "spiritually sick and weak" like they label us.

Being new here, I have not yet healed enough to deal with another arrogant person who spouts out dirt at us when he himself, is breaking the "rules" for being here and as you put it "he is thumbing his nose up to the instructions from the FDS on being on the net and don;t even know it". I know many more are like him because they are the products of intense indoctrination pounded in, by bashing others not "blessed" like they are.

If he was here because he truly was concerned about us and wanted to know why so many have left and wanted to help us, I would have welcomed him. I guess that would have been easy. I have a long way to go to be generous to such a cocky little bully as he came across. All I can envision is him sitting in a committee meeting with that leering attitude causing the downfall of some other person who has stumbled. I hope some of what was said to him will sink in.

to Kimberley : I have been reading JT's posts for 2 years now, and I have to say he is one of the kindest, loving and funny guys I have come across on the net. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to meet him in person, but I think he would be just how his posts reflect him to be.

As he's a black guy, he's got every right to use the expression "big black mamma" or whatever. In fact it wasn't a label, it was a description!!

He was just making a point regarding the elder salivating over this young girl. Some men don't find overweight women physically attractive, just as soome men dont find thin women attractive. To each his own.

I am not looking to pick an argument with anyone, and I didn’t miss the point of your post – 1, those sort of probing questions are irrelevant – 2, it goes against an individual’s fundamental human rights to have to attend this sort of inquisition without being prepared and without representation from an outside party (lawyer etc.) 3, elders are not in anyway qualified to conduct these sort of hearings.

It doesn’t change the fact that I am sick of it when people just dismiss "those" black sisters [8>](or the amount of work they do for the WTS) in this way – and whether you’re black or white yourself it doesn’t make the slightest bit of difference to me – a lot of the discrimination I’ve encountered in the “truth” has been from black brothers – the ones who treat the black sisters like dirt but can’t do enough for the white sisters. I think there was a lot of disrespect shown in that comment.

If I sound bitter, it’s because I’ve had to put up with this sort of cr**p for over 25 years.

Kimberley, I did't feel that JT was being particularly bigoted, he seemed to be saying that it was a novelty for this guy to be turned on by a pretty ladies sex revelations because he (the elder) was esconced with a physically unattractive female. The bit about the colour was just detail, there are an equal number of unattractive white females I'm sure.
