Well, let's not jump to conclusions; it remains to be seen whether medical directive cards will be issued.
As for my card, I took a look at it a few weeks ago and noticed that I never had the "witness" signatures that are required. So I threw the card away.
I just got my Kingdom Manifesto today. There is a part the week of January 6 and Advance Medical Directive/Release cards will be handed out to all baptized publishers to be filled out at the next Congregation Book Study. Somehow they goofed last year and the terminology on the card implied strongly that one could store their own blood for future use. The word was "allogenic."
It will be interesting to see what the new cards say. The other cards were never handed out to the publishers and only the elders were aware of the "mixup" and subsequent destruction of those cards.

We got our new cards about a month ago along with the identity cards for unbaptized minor children to no doubt hand out in January. The wording on the card is the same as its always been.
I asked the JW's about the blood cards here a few months ago....
