  do not forget that Serena and Venus were both beaten two weeks ago by our wonderful belgian champion Kim Clijsters

  Congratulations to Kim on her well-deserved WTA Championship, but in the interest of non-distorted reportage, her "victory" over Venus in the semis was entirely technical; Venus retired from the match injured during the first set.

  Btw, during the second semi match---between Serena and Jennifer Capriati---someone from very high above us in deep nosebleeds shouted loudly "Keep your eyes on the prize, Serena!"

  As these were early Sunday afternoon matches, it appears some of Jehovah's people decided to pass on his bountiful spiritual provisions for that day in order to root for V & S.

  Actually, Venus looks......uhm.....hot in the McDonald's commercial with Serena and the Hamburgler.

  My theory....Venus used to be the superior sister at tennis, so there was no real need for her to be too concerned about looks. Then, Serena, considered the 'looker' also became the better tennis player. So then Venus started working on her looks.....just a theory.
