Im a big Cowboy fan, and I love to watch them play on thanksgiving. But if I was not a cowboy fan, I must admit I would rather watch a more completive game, a game that would have play off implications.

How do you feel about it? Stay with tradition or a better game. I think it would be good if the teams that played in the NFC and AFC championship game from last year would play every Thanksgiving.

I dunno, it's tradition to watch the Lions and Cowboys. And they didn't always use to suck. And eventually they will stop sucking again...right?

    Right?

The cowboys will stop sucking when old face lift stops coaching the team.

Yep, it is tradition. And Joanna has a point there- they may stop sucking at some point again. (emphasis on "may")

Today, Wild- in honor of you, my friend, I will watch the Cowboys and I'll even cheer for them.

(Unless of course my family starts throwing large objects at me, at which point my physical safety will need to take over)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Dede and family!!!!!!! Lots of love to you all!!!

Life is good right now! Big Tex & my dad are watching the game downstairs and I haven't heard too many howls of anguish (except from the dogs) so I guess the Cowboys aren't doing too bad. The kids are playing "Carmen Sandiego" on one computer, and I'm on the other after having taken a long, delicious nap. Our Thanksgiving celebration will be tomorrow because today is an SFD (Sacred Football Day), so I've baked a pumpkin pie and a flan today, will start on bread dough in a little while and tomorrow will get up early to smoke the turkey and bake the ham. And, yes, no matter how much they suck, we watch Da Boys!

Wild Turkey, I agree with you - like Michael Jackson, Mr. Jones went to his wife's plastic surgeon one too many times.

    Love to all,

    Nina

I just saw the game myself. Watched it on AFN (American Forces Network). The only English speaking channel in Japan. Good selection of American TV programs, though.

It's kinda weird watching Thankgiving football when it's not Thanksgiving here in Japan. What I mean is that it's Friday morning (Nov 29th) here while it's Thursday afternoon (Nov 28th) in the USA. And besides, the Japanese don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

My first year living abroad! However I'm keeping up with my favorite football team (Pittsburg Steelers).
