I caught it "preyed"and I still made the statement "preyed to Jehovah.
I didn't want the OP to feel bad, so I went with it. LOL
But a lot of folks preyed on others in JW.org

I preyed before going to the regional convention. I only had a couple chickens I sold them so I could afford going. When I came back I had ten chickens six goats two skunks and rats. Blessings 😀.
