I've met about a dozen ex-JWs since I left the borg, all mainly through this site. There have been one or two I've become reaquainted with, who were in when I was in, and are now out (if that makes sense ).
I've met a few from working at the store on weekends. I am working on Christmas day this year(My choice, since we open presents on Christmas eve) and I plan on saying Merry Christmas to each JW that comes into the store that day.
I'll tell more privately. I quit being an elder 8 years ago, stopped going out in field service 7 years ago and stopped attending meetings 5 1/2 years ago. A few months after quitting as an elder I relocated via my job to the US and live in Minnesota. (I used to live in Worcestershire)
I met a guy named Pete from Walsall who was running a support and information group for JWs seeking to leave. I met a number of others in that area in 1999 including the daughter of a PO who had DA'd herself.
BTW, I reported my worst car accident earlier. It happened on the M6 between Spaghetti junction and the Walsall exit.
Prisca your not doing too bad, for the first 2 years I was out I hardly met any exjw, by the third year I had met about 30 ish. It grows and grows till you lose count.
Laughing at Lilacs.
BTW Third the PO's daughter you met moved to the outskirts of london with her hubby and now has 2 lovely daughters.
We have some catching up to do. E-mail me when you can I am not sure if the address I have is still current for you. I'm glad you are working. Somerset is nice, a lot better than Walsall, heh?
Thirdson good to be back in touch, [email protected] is the email address I use now. Somerset is great though I miss a lot about Walsall (believe it or not). Was thinking of moving to Worcestershire to be closer to home.
