Hi john123; I'm really sorry to hear of your friend who is so ill.

I do some work for an ovarian cancer charity, as my mother and 3 friends died from the disease

.Unfortunately for OC sufferers the disease has very low survival rates -95% die within 3-5 years.If it is detected early 95% can be survivors- by early I mean when there are no symptoms and the problem was detected very early, usually during surgery for something else.

If your friend needs help or support she can get in touch with Ovacome who have a phone support system- if you want more info- just ask.i'll go and look up her story now; and by the way-miracles DO happen; many stories we have in the literature for the charity have included survivors' stories .The blood transfusion episode is unlikely to have affected anything.

I don't want to debate weather or not C.J. is dieing because she would not take blood or just because this kind of cancer has a low survival rate. Fact is because she was convinced The WTBS was Gods INFALABLE channel she let them make a chioce for her on medical treatment that her OWN conscience should have dictated based on what SHE read and believed in the bible.

So now poor C.J. is dieing and she has to suffer not knowing if maybe she could have done something more a little earlier. That is a crime of confidence as she was taught to put her TRUST in imperfect men.

This board is so awsome and I know everyone here who reads this post is sending C.J. a card and thier Love!

I feel really awful that this poor woman has ovarian cancer, but refusing a blood transfusion would only affect her if she needed blood during surgery. (this was my case with uterine cancer)......ovarian cancer is unfortunately, very aggressive but to me, it is not automatically a death sentence.

If the doctors have given up on her, I would strongly recommend she try alternative treatment. Below are a few links that gives testimony from people who were deemed "terminal" and only given a short amount of time to live. They took matters in to their own hands and are alive years later.

H.S. Claiming that we cannot know for sure does not refute nor invalidate my statements. Note the word of CJ's Disassociation letter:

"Regarding the so-called blood issue: I have a terminal cancer. My illness (ovarian cancer) was diagnosed approximately the same time last year as the information the WTB&TS published on accepting a variety of blood fractions. I did not examine the article at the time due to my being ill and refused a blood transfusion for my hysterectomy. My surgery was cut short because of my low blood count; a complete debulking could not be done in which more small cancer clusters are removed from tissue surrounding larger more obvious cancer masses, thus affecting my prognosis (I am a single parent with two young children). At the time, I was glad to take a stand on the blood issue. Now I have concluded that there is no such Biblical issue. Blood parts are blood. The command not to eat blood is just that, not an injunction against blood transfusions."

We can argue all day that we cannot really know this or that. To me there is sufficient reason to conclude this.

What a brave woman to stand up for her rights even when she feels her lifes end is near!!!

THANK-YOU So much John for telling us about her! She is an insperation to many who have been oppressed by men in the name of God!

Let her know she is in our prayers and many I am sure will be intouch with her!!

She should think of setting up a trust at a bank for her kids futer. Some place people can donate too to help them out.but still see where it is going

Hello John,

No matter what the wording, CJ will most likely die.....and the single mother of 2 children. I'm so sorry for her circumstances.

Whether the WT caused her death, or just spiritually guided her to make wrong decisions really isn't the point.

She is dying, and the WT doctrine of NO BLOOD is - most likely - partially responsible. Like you said, it can't be proven 100% either way.....but does that matter? She is dying.

I'm sending a card out tonight - which is next to nothing. Thank you for bringing this to our forum.

I know many who read this feel as you do.
I hope some( if not all)who once worshiped side by side with C.J. will have a Crisis Of Conscience and throw aside thier fear if men and go see her.......and suport thier fellow human being.....neighbor and sister in God's creation.

The phonelines and email are manned by women who are either in treatment or having survived it.They know so much medically, but also know what it's like to have to live with this day after day and may be a help to your friend who may find it easier to deal with some hopes and fears with people who have been through the treatment too.
