The opening post is irrelevant and outdated. Jackson has been summonsed by McClellan. The only thing that will prevent him from appearing is if he refuses and enters into contempt for which a warrant will be issued or if Senior Counsel Angus Stewart determines he does not need to appear. The latter is highly unlikely. The former is not hard to imagine. -

The reason is simple.
The ARC would ask him to prove that they are truly directed by holy spirit based on the failed policies to protect children from JW rapists. Then the general indifference shown the commission by the very ones that call and get the direction he is responsible for providing to the entire world wide church.
Especially the JC interrogations, shunning and two witness rule.
They might as well just have a JWBroadcast admitting that it was a for-profit, money-making scheme all along.
They'll just delete/DF the AUS elders that testified and pretend like nothing happened.

Compared to the potential risks of Jackson testifying a $1,000 fine is miniscule. Especially since the money wouldn't come out of HIS pocket. -

Would like to see him get the 6 months in jail instead. -

After hearing witness after witness quoting a scripture to tell the Commission that JWs obey the superior authorities because that's what God commands, it would be an incredible own goal to demonstrate their contempt for their own rules by GJ not appearing after being told to do so.
It would call into question every statement they've made, and prove them to be untrustworthy, deceitful and self serving.

The commission should not settle for the 1000 dollar fine. The 6 month imprisonment would be more apropos. I know they would spin this as persecution. But since appearing would not violate bible law, the question would arise,, why not be obedient to Caesar? After all G. Jackson appearing would not violate Jehovah's law! Does not the bible say that you will be summoned before governors and kings and that the Holy Spirit will provide you what to say? -

In general population. Just let it be known around the prison that he is in there because of protecting child molestors.

And Toole hung the whole reputation of JWs on that very fact.
The RC already smells a rat.
If Jackson doesn't show, it's a smelly diseased rat with festering sores.
