Thanks for your comments, Blondie. I was struck by the frequent references to the power of the Devil in an article entitled "Jehovah Cares for You". Over and over the sheep are exhorted to cling to Jehovah (read WTS) like Saran Wrap. Stick a toe out, and you will be DEVOURED. Supposedly a measly 0.1% of the world's population enjoys this exclusive protection in a world, by all description, reigned over by The Other Guy.
Take a peek outside, you lurkers. It is not raining pitch. There are a lot of lovely people out here, and the sun is shining.

As a DS9 fan, I probably am one of the few here that recognizes what "ocean of changelings" means and that you meant to type ODO not Otto. I loved that character. But exactly what you meant by running ahead I am not sure.

That was an overwhelming article. Yes, they demonize everything outside yet form alliances with the UN as an NGO. They forget to tell you about the power of the Devil inside the congregation. Supposedly, the Devil personifies the lie. And there are so many deliberate liars in the WTS.

I would like to attend Sikh service here locally asap after enjoying their parade down our street my interest has been peeked. Should be interesting experience at the least. Maybe if I convert I will start handing out literature to the JWs! :)

So, queenie, you are sick and going to a Sikh service. I'm sorry that just hit me as I read your post. I hope you get well and as well as those you love around you. I am impervious to flu. Wow, rebel, I'm flattered and impressed. Yes, it made it more meaningful for me, too. I just take my WT with my notes in the margins that I use for my little review. The conductor tried so hard to insert certain points, he even lost the other elders who could not follow his train of thought.
The speaker used so many scriptures and went so fast that no one could keep up. The WTS has counseled the R&F several times over the last few months to look up the scriptures with the speaker. Not today; we all sinned.
