Anyone watching the inquiry would have heard the Org's attorney asking that the documents outlining the stucture and mechanics of the WBTS be kept confidential. All this subversive and clandestine behavior is not helping their image. What do you all suppose is potentially damnimg in these documents? Do you think that awesome judge (I want to hug him) will find premise to have the documents in their entirety made public? I hope so!

I'd say there can be a couple of reasons:

    1) They have something they don't want publicly known or at least known by JWs.

    2) They want it to appear they have uber important info. in order to maintain their level of importance and therefore control over JWs.

Secrecy is usually a tool maintained and used by leaders of a group to ensure a certain level of control over the members of that group.

I suspect an update to the Flock book will have to be made as it is now public. That was their uber secret elder handbook which is not so secret any longer (even though we all had access to it years ago too).

One of the points that the WT lawyer wants to supress is the information regarding the finances of the "publisihing department". He is trying to make the claim that the finances of the publishing department are not pertinent to the proceedings at hand.

However, Justice McClelland will be reviewing the documents before it is decided if the entire document will be published. I have a sense that financial information of any kind is very relevant - that is what this Commission is doing - establishing restitutional guidelines. Where the WTS spends money should have bearing on their ability to pay for victim recovery and support.

I am hopeful that Justice McClelland will view financial information as relevant and therefore admissable. I am curious as to how that financial information lines up with the financial statement submitted to the Commission by the WT Branch.

Well, that's a good question. WHY can't the ORG have 100% transparency in all things?

IMO, the simplest answer is most likely correct. No "secret" knowledge = no hierarchy. No hierarchy = no leaders and no slaves.

    GOOD-BYE JW-ism!!! GOOD-BYE $$$$!!!!

Re finacial documents: The Commission is hoping to put together a redress scheme to compensate victims.

If it goes ahead,it's likely the organization will contribute according to number of members and size of bank account.

Methinks any redress scheme or co-contributing scheme administered by the Australian government (currently being considered for religions) will be based on the number of ordained ministers within each religious community.

If that's the case the JW's will have to co-contribute more than all other religions put together. If they present an argument for just elders / ministerial servants, then they will still have to co-contribute more than any other religion. Seems reasonable as it has been revealed they have more child abuse problems than any other religion in Australia.

If 7000 JW's (elders, co's, servants, pioneers, bethelites) came under the scheme that would equate to $700,000.00 per annum per $100.00 of the insurance premium. Ministers of religion have the highest premiums for insurance against child abuse.

Their insurance could easily be $1,000 per annum, which for JW's would be $7 million per year - which is probably the same amount they currently 'donate' to GB operated charities outside of Australia.

OH SNAP!!! JWLeaks has reminded me of a scotch induced prediction that I made some time ago. Like an ancient oracle of Grecian lore, I have had a vision!!!

Give ear, ye mortals!! The soothsayer of legend, Datamonius Cannis, the all-knowing know-it-all, has saw fit to bequeath upon thee a knowledge bomb! Be still whilst I mentally put my thang down, flip it and reverse it!!

The WTBTS shall soon reveal nu-light concerning the identity of "ordained ministers!!" Only those divinely qualified ( whatever saves the WTBTS $$$ ) will be ordained!! Tis a "shelved idea" to be revealed in Jeehoobidoobs own due time!! Pay heed unto my words bitches!!!

Quite simple, in that its obvious that the WTS's heads have been trying to hide these adverse situations on their own internally and been reluctant in reporting the situations to the police.

That and all deeply devout JWS are trying to uphold the image of the organization from a publics viewpoint, which they have been mentally indoctrinated to do.
