Being called brother/sister in public places

    lol imanaliento.

    I wuz raised with it. It never bothered me. It was like my "language" I guess. Or dialect or whatever.

    Don't think I didn't notice though when I was "fading away" that my so-called "brothers" and "sisters" suddenly started calling me by my first name and not by Sister ________ anymore.

    *shrug*

    Nowadays, however, I sometimes get uncomfortable calling someone I respect deeply by their first name. Especially if they are "grey-headed". It kinda freaks me.

    We were close with a family in our hall who always told their kids to call us brother or sister,and to use our first names in front,hence I was sisterCharlene.In public they would call me that,and it made me feel like I was a nun!I always hated the brother/sister thing.It was stupid.
