Anybody have any crazy stories about roommates from hell? I had one who refused to move so I finally had to.

Unless you have a wonderful disposition and so laid back nothing ever bothers you, don't mind that your dishes in the sink may never get done until your apartment is condemned by the Health Department, and work a totally different shift from your fellow renter, why do roommate sagas rarely have happy endings? The first thing I did when I moved out years ago was: don't have a roommate - live alone and work 2 jobs if you have to in order to be alone and get renter's insurance! You may never know when the jerk above you decides to go to sleep with a cigarette in hand and POOF!, your things are no more...

I had a roomate years ago, who was a good witness friend of mine at the time.
He didn't have rent money, so he tried to burn the house down.

I had a pioneer group of four, the place was mine and my sisters. This girl roommate was all peaches and cream when she moved in. Too nice if you know what I mean. She didn't like it that I was popular with all guys in the hall she was jealous, of course none of the guys looked to me as their girl friend they were just friends, It was like i was one of the guys. They would take me out with them to China town or Steak dinners or we would all go out for Pizza or just for a walk and that really bugged her, and so she started to weasel her way into our group, who cares I didn't , some times the guys would laugh at her cause they knew she was desperate to find a husband, she was so obvious. Anyway she was becomming a real bitch to live with. She started picking on my sister. I told her, leave my kid sister alone or else your out the door. In the mean time my sister got her assignment to special pioneer and so she was going to be moving. In the mean time this room mate was getting real nasty with me, lying to the elders about me and of course when the elders approached me at the meeting with a letter they were sending to the Society because of things this girl was saying. My God I didn't even have a chance to defend myself, I think this one elder was out to get me for a long time. Anyway I read the letter and ran down stairs to the bathroom and was crying and a couple of my girl friends seen me run down stairs. And any way I knew immediatley this was the result of the girl living with me. This roomy for HELL!! After being calmed downed in the washroom I went to the pizza palour with all my friends and she was their and she looked at me and knew her goose was cooked and on our way home I told her, I want you out of my house tomorrow. Got it tomorrow, No if and or buts your out out out. Got it. I don't want to talk to you speak to you. You are a liar. Go ...She knew, she knew it was over, she blew it. and yes she was the room mate from HELL!!!!!!!!!!Bitch Bitch!!!

Orangefatcat.....I know what you mean!!! I had two friends living with me and they were the laziest bunch of people. Nobody wanted to help me with the cleaning or cooking. I was lucky to get most of the rent from them. After a year living together, one finally moved and I couldnt get the other one out for nothing. No matter what I did, he would not budge. I signed a year lease on the apartment so I was stuck. Need less to say, after talking with the apartment manager and taking my name off the lease, I moved out in the middle of the night when he was at a friends house. And what did this teach me?....NO MORE ROOMATES FOR ME!!!

I joined this group of crazy people back in the early 90's.
I moved in with about 8 women and 3 children. We had to sleep on the floors and were allowed 5 minutes in the bathroom in the morning. The "Grand Master" would drop in unexpectedly sometimes at about 3 in the morning and make us go work out and run up and down mountains.I finally got a clue (DUH!!)When she implied that she was like Jesus and we were her followers.

Yes ..it was a cult...i was very needy at that time.

My last roomate was the best. We worked different schedules. We talked sometimes but for the most part we both had incredible amounts of our own space. He was a Muay Thai fighter with a body to die for. And when he WAS home he was always shirtless or in a towel. *shudder*
Anyway, he moved out a couple of months ago. I'm worried now because my friend and her daughter are supposed to be moving in January 1st. I hope she doesn't end up being a roomate from HELL.
