Yes, I believe in God, but not in Jehovah God. "The God that you can name is not the eternal God."

The concept of God that we call Jehovah is an ancient, tribal, primitive concept of God held by an ancient, tribal, primitive group of people. And they made Him in their image.

The JWs can have Jehovah until they're blue in the face. I want nothing to do with him.

Awakened, I have a question. If God is loving and merciful, why should we be fearful of him? That is something I never understood.

I want to, NEED to, believe in God. I would love to know what he is all about and what hope there is for mankind in the future. The earth is teeming with life - on the land, in the sea, in the sky - it can't just have arrived here by chance. It is all too beautiful. Surely, there has to be something up there. I couldn't bear to think that there wasn't - I wish my faith was stronger.

(Eccl 3:10 TLB) I have thought about this in connection with all the various kinds of work God has given to mankind.

(Eccl 3:11 TLB) Everything is appropriate in its own time. But though God has planted eternity in the hearts of men, even so, many cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end.

    (Eccl 3:12 TLB) So I conclude that, first, there is nothing better for a man than to be happy and to enjoy himself as long as he can;

(Eccl 3:13 TLB) and second, that he should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of his labors, for these are gifts from God.

(Eccl 3:14 TLB) And I know this, that whatever God does is final--nothing can be added or taken from it; God's purpose in this is that man should fear the all-powerful God.

(Eccl 3:15 TLB) Whatever is has been long ago; and whatever is going to be has been before; God brings to pass again what was in the distant past and disappeared.

(Eccl 3:16 TLB) Moreover, I notice that throughout the earth justice is giving way to crime, and even the police courts are corrupt.

(Eccl 3:17 TLB) I said to myself, "In due season God will judge everything man does, both good and bad."

(Eccl 3:18 TLB) And then I realized that God is letting the world go on its sinful way so that he can test mankind, and so that men themselves will see that they are no better than beasts.

(Eccl 3:19 TLB) For men and animals both breathe the same air, and both die. So mankind has no real advantage over the beasts; what an absurdity!

(Eccl 3:20 TLB) All go to one place--the dust from which they came and to which they must return.

(Eccl 3:21 TLB) For who can prove that the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of animals goes downward into dust?

(Eccl 3:22 TLB) So I saw that there is nothing better for men than that they should be happy in their work, for that is what they are here for, and no one can bring them back to life to enjoy what will be in the future, so let them enjoy it now.

Only dubs believe in jehovah God.....who else would?

The JW god is the creation of the WTS. It serves their purpose well.

Yes, I do believe in a Creator. The arguments presented concerning how we go here by chance to me are not plausible. I do not at all believe that God will destroy all who are not affiliated with Jehovah's Witnesses as I know far too many "Wordly" people who are honarable, caring, and kind. By contrast I know too many Jehovah's Witnesses who aren't. As to just who God is and who he chooses to include we all including myself have alot to learn.

Yes, i believe in JEHOVAH the eternal, self existing God who created the universe. For a group like the JW's who claim to know him, most of them dont know the 7 names of YHWH.

If you dont know him. Call on his name in prayer. Keep knocking and it will be opened unto you. He is not far from each one of us. Ask him to give you faith in him.

    Dear Larc,

I hope this Scripture will help you understand. Please ponder upon it - it answers that question for me:

PSALMS 111:10 " The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom."

I'll quote a line from a song by John Lennon.

"God is a concept by which we measure our pain".

(Yeah! It got me thinking too......)

[3. The vast majority of mankind would still be alive to be given the opportunity to learn about God and Christ. Those dead would be resurrected to join them and humankind would begin making the earth a Paradise. This would take a 1,000 years at the end of which all would have their loyalty to God tested by Satan.]

Hey! This is what I believe! How interesting. I have never read Studies in the Scriptures but it would be rather interesting to read.

I believe in Yahweh (or Jehovah if you prefer). But He is not going to destroy 6,000,000,000,000 people without giving them the same chances He gave Adam, Eve and Jesus.
