That's the title of an article in the Dec. KM. Actually, it is, YOU MUST SEE THE VIDEO NO BLOOD-------MEDECINE MEETS THE CHALLENGE.....There's no letting up on the blood issue. Before that part, is, ASSISTANCE ON OBEYING GOD'S LAW ON BLOOD....You can even get your "BLOOD" cards.....It looks like the hardliners won again!

It looks like the hardliners won again!
Yep... that about sums it up.

This is scary how authoritarian they are becoming.
And what happens 5-7 years from now when one day there is a Kingdom Ministry or district convention talk that makes blood transfusions a conscience matter? How will those parents who sacrificed their loved ones on the alter of no blood feel then?

The same way people felt when 1914 failed, when 1925 failed, when 1975 failed, when vacines became acceptable, and when organ transplants became acceptable...... it won't matter. They will be the latest crop of "rebellious apostates".

Hey all,
Well, I'm not sure if you have seen that video or not. I saw it a year ago at Bethel. The only real scandal of it is that it shows how medical advances in recirculated blood, blood filtering, and so on enable you to avoid a traditional transfusion, but still get blood. Of course, it mentioned that this was a conscience matter. But it is clear to me that by showing this they are sanctioning these procedures.

There are 10 questions that will be considered in the KM. A few that are thought provoking are, "Why is it rational and responsible to reject blood transfusions? What health risks are associated with blood transfusions? What basic right do patients have?......How would you answer these questions if you were in the congregation?

Well, as I understand it their approach is to continue to stress the importance and validity of the basic doctrine, while allowing for an increasing number of exceptions. It is often during a policy change that the society reaffirms the main themes of the old policy/doctrine while changing everything around. It's sort of a shell game.

"It's sort of a shell game". James, you are so correct. There was a time that the Society would drop a view over a period of time and then, PRESTO, new lite! Now they confuse the issue, right to the end, like they did on the "generation" thing.
